The Analogue team has announced a new set of translucent colors that will transport you back to Nintendo's 'funtastic' series of color choices from 1999. The news of new Analogue 3D colors comes as the company faces competition from ModRetro, another company that recreates retro gaming consoles. ModRetro released images of its M64 console last month, which will upscale original N64 cartridges in 4K and output them through HDMI for modern televisions. ModRetro's design takes a more colorful approach when compared to Analogue, leaning into translucent colors and rounder edges. ModRetro plans on releasing the M64 in 2026.
