Nike's All Conditions Express Train: ACG Relaunch at Milano-Cortina Winter Olympics (2026)

Get ready for an exciting journey as we dive into Nike's bold move to relaunch their iconic All Conditions Gear (ACG) brand! But here's where it gets controversial... they did it in style, creating an entire train, a rolling masterpiece, to showcase their vision.

Nike, the renowned sportswear giant, transformed an Italian commuter train into a vibrant, orange-themed haven, transporting passengers from Milan's bustling streets to the serene Italian Alps. This unique initiative aimed to embody the spirit and values of the resurrected ACG brand.

In an exclusive interview with Dezeen, Nike's Chief Design Officer, Martin Lotti, shared his vision: "We wanted to bring an attitude that tackles challenges at the highest level, yet with a playful twist." And they certainly delivered on that promise!

The All Conditions Express, designed by Nike's in-house team, was a sight to behold. Every inch of the train, from the vibrant orange interiors to the custom-made seating compartments, exuded the signature ACG style. Even the smallest details, like phone cases and Jenga sets, were branded with the iconic ACG logo.

Each carriage served a unique purpose, catering to the needs of outdoor enthusiasts. From a cozy cafe inspired by alpine refuges to a recovery space with hanging chairs and binoculars, every detail was carefully considered.

"This is all about embracing the outdoors," Lotti explained. "The ACG logo, established in 1988, has a pure and distinctive look, and it represents a unique approach to problem-solving."

And this is the part most people miss... Nike's commitment to the ACG brand was evident in every corner of the train. The triangular logo, a symbol of the brand's identity, was featured prominently, with no trace of the iconic Nike Swoosh in sight.

Nike's recent ventures, including their neuroscience-based footwear and the transformation of a London bathhouse into a skatepark, further showcase their innovative spirit.

So, what do you think? Is Nike's bold branding strategy a masterpiece or a missed opportunity? We'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments!
